Peter Moore Video Performing With Ivory II Upright Pianos

back to announcements

Composer/Recording Artist, Peter Moore, performs his melancholy song, "Your Psychobabble" in a new YouTube video, exploiting the Ivory II Upright Pianos Barroom Upright to achieve a fully acoustically isolated vocal track from an intimate live piano and vocal performance.

About the artist: Peter Moore is a prodigious composer, recording artist, performer, multi-instrumentalist and band leader from the Boston area. His solo efforts include his 2008 CD "One Ride", and his band Count Zero has just released a new CD titled "Never Be Yourself".

"Your Psychobabble" continues the theme of the fragility of relationships that Peter examined in his full-length solo CD "One Ride". Peter offers this song about partners who try to diffuse arguments by obfuscating with nonsensical babble. This recording is an "unplugged" version of the song that he plans to release on a follow-up solo CD due out soon.

Peter has also been featured by Synthogy in his excellent Ivory Upright Pianos recordings "One And Only" and "Empire State" which feature the Modern Upright in a full multi-track mix, with Peter playing all of the parts. Hear these demos here.

An audio-only MP3 version of "Your Psychobabble" can be found here.
